Tuesday evenings from 9:00 to 11:00 pm and
Fridays in slots of 1/2 hour between classes,
Tango Practice (Prácticas)
are held on at our
Tango Cathedral,
384 Swann Rd, cnr with Hawken
Drive in St Lucia. PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BOOK YOUR PRACTICE SESSION.
"PRÁCTICAS DE
TANGO, MILONGA and VALS",
are dedicated to students and tango dancers of all levels.
For those who don't know, a
"Practica", is an intermediate dimension between
a tango class and the dance floor. For those who wish to rehearse figures
and steps, (with their embellishments, leads, timing, space, etc) recently
learnt, before their baptism of fire at the "milonga" (social tango
or tango ball).
We carry out this Práctica with a variety of well-selected music,
plus the permanent assistance of our highly recognised Tango School's
Instructors, in a stress-free atmosphere. We happily invite everyone to use
their
right to make mistakes.
Entry fee is $6.00 or just $4.00 for students with student ID card.
PLEASE NOTE: PRACTICAS REQUIRES YOUR PREVIOUS BOOKING!
The place is our old headquarters: St Lucia's Uniting Church Hall better
known as "The Tango Cathedral", we offer coffee and tea facilities, included
in your entry fee.
Our School started the first Argentine Tango
Classes and Tango Practice Sessions as early as 1999, becoming the first
tango-only dance school in Australasia. Our Tango Cathedral was the venue
of three International Tango Festivals and was visited by many elite and
respected tango artists, including musicians and dancers. There, tango
dance classes of all levels were offered by renowned Argentine tango
instructors.
If you are unfamiliar with our venue, you may
wish to know we have taught hundreds of students from all over the world.
Many tango dancers who already were or are now established professionals
here in Australia and overseas have also utilized our venue for the purposes
of practising and teaching.
We MUCH appreciate you spreading the
news about our activities amongst your circle of acquaintances and friends,
because you will help us to share our work, especially with
financially-limited student tango enthusiasts!
Sincerely: gracias.
