alón, the elegant, passionate and sophisticated world-wide spread tango style, set by Alma de Tango in a five- class course of 1 ˝  hours each.

 

Welcome to the dance floor. This is the opportunity you have been waiting for! Succumb to the three-minute romance called Tango dance…  A unique series of classes, structured by our School of Argentine Tango. We will show you the secrets of this art expression, which will allow you to dive deep and safely into this dance. 

 

The first Five-Week Course in this series is scheduled to start on Saturday 13th January 2007.  The venue: “The Tango Cathedral, 384 Swann Rd, St Lucia.  Parking on the street.  Time: 1:00 – 2:30 PM.

 

The Program of the Course is summarised as follows:

 

¤ Posture, Embrace, Body weight transfer, Basic Steps; Ochos

¤ Turns; Boleo; Cadencia; Combinations

¤ Floor Management; Pivoting; Giros.

¤ Ganchos

 

Numbers are limited due to physical space restrictions. 

Cost: $160 per person, Full-time students: $ 140

 

No previous knowledge of dance is required to undertake this exciting course.

 

Your qualified instructor: Hugo Fernández.

 

This course is designed to the tango dance standards and traditional techniques.  Your Instructor, Hugo Fernández, is a professional tango dancer.  His skills have been refined through a lifetime exposure to the tango world at his  birth-city: Buenos Aires.
