TAKE ME TO THE SOUL OF TANGO​​

PRÁCTICAS DE TANGO, MILONGA and VALS, are dedicated to students and tango dancers of all levels.

 

For those who don't know, a "Practica", is an intermediate dimension between a tango class and the dance floor. For those who wish to rehearse figures and steps, (with their embellishments, leads, timing, space, etc) recently learnt, before their baptism of fire at the "milonga" (social tango or tango ball).

 

We carry out open-to-public weekly Prácticas with a variety of well-selected music, plus the permanent assistance of our School's Instructors (for our students and Members) in a stress-free atmosphere.  We happily invite everyone to use their right to make mistakes.

 

Entry fee to our open-to-public Práctica is $8.00 pp or  $14:00 for couples. No charge for those joining in any of our classes of the day.

Every Saturday our venue is our Alma de Tango's Own Dance Studio in Woollongabba. Come alone or with friends for 3+  hours of practice fun.

Our School started the first Argentine Tango Classes and Tango Practice Sessions as early as 1999, becoming the first tango-only dance school in Australasia.  Our first venue was the legendary "Tango Cathedral" .  The place hosted three International Tango Festivals organised by Hugo Fernández and was visited by many elite and respected Argentine tango artists, including musicians and dancers.
